Homeland

For years I've tried to reconcile the idea of home as something completely autonomous from the actual place where I spent my childhood. If my parents were to move away from my "hometown", then what reason would I have to return to that place? High school reunions? Visiting other family members who remained? Each time we move our family and establish a new home, it's simply a matter of time before a sense of "homeness" is established, regardless of geography.

These images represent the remnants of previous homes and places I've lived. Sometimes they looked nothing like what is depicted, but they are still a reminder of some sort of Homeland.
