Joe K.
I met Joe when I worked at the Texas House of Representatives in the Photography Department. He had been with the House for 24 years at the time, and we became fast friends. As the runner for our department, he was seen and known throughout the Capitol complex. In December of 2005, Joe's family decided it was time for him to retire because his memory was beginning to fail him and he would often end up in dangerous circumstances.
This project is a document of Joe's space, both at work and home. He lives on one side of a duplex, and his elderly mother lives on the other side.
